Kim and Basia

Kim and Basia had their wedding reception at Attaboy Barrel House in Frederick MD (one of my favorite venues to work!) I met them a month or two before that at the Frederick Wedding Show where they were looking for a coordinator because Attaboys requires one (waiting until a month before to get one is not something that I would recommend but it worked out for Kim and Basia!)

They had already eloped so this event was reception only and Kim and Basia wanted to have a time to celebrate with their family and friends. Throughout the entire process they were thinking about how to celebrate their love but curate an event that creates a great experience for their family and friends. They had a violinist playing while guests entered, got catering that met the dieatary restrictions of as many of their friends as possible, they made sure there were lots of games for people to play during any down time and got Nothing Bundt cake as their dessert which is pretty much a guaranteed hit for all (myself included).

I absolutely loved working with Kim and Basia! They were super organized and flexible. I made some changes to their layout to promote better flow etc and they just went with it and trusted my expertise which is always great! Wedding planning should be collaborative and always express the couples vision/expectations but you hire experts for a reason so trusting what we have to say is great! On top of being great clients they are just great people! With wonderful attitudes and you could see how many people love and care about them throughout their event!

I am planning to work with Kim and Basia for a styled shoot in July which is really exciting for all of us! Here are a couple of photos from their reception! Soon to be followed with pictures from the shoot!
