This wedding was BEAUTIFUL I am a little biased because the color scheme was very similar to my own wedding but still!
I love big weddings and I love small weddings both for very different reasons. This was a smaller wedding held at an adorable venue in West Virginia. One of the reasons I love small weddings is I get a little more opportunity to really see some of the important relationships that the bride and groom have! Kayla and Chad had a SUPER supportive bridal party who wanted to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect for their friends. To the point that they were actually willing to go rip out a weed that was growing at the ceremony site with their bare hands to make sure that it wasn’t in the picture (the venue caught it without us even needing to ask and it was done before the ceremony happened but still those girls were gonna get in there if it wasn’t!)
There were a lot of beautiful touches throughout this wedding to bring their own style into it. For example they had THE MOST amazing charcuterie station for their cocktail hour that I have ever seen and one of the guests at the wedding was actually the one who put that together. This was great for saving the bride and groom a little money but also for making something really unique and awesome!
The photos from this wedding are also just completely amazing. Kayla’s dress sparkling in the sun I knew before I even got the images that they were going to be the absolute best and then all of the details!!! Doing wedding coordinating is always interesting because the purpose of why I am there is to bring the bride’s vision to life even if it is not something that would be MY vision. I do give creative input and I will push if decisions are being made that I really do not think will go well together or aren’t what the bride thinks they are in terms of how things will pull together but this wedding was particularly fun because the stylistic choices Kayla made were ones that I would make for a wedding if I was getting married again. Which is always exciting!
All in all, working with Kayla was so fun! All throughout the process I really enjoyed every conversation that we had and I am so honored to have been a part of her day!
